Tate Modern acquires Erdağ Aksel sculpture

London's Tate Modern has included a work by Turkish contemporary artist Erdağ Aksel in its collection, thus making the internationally exhibiting artist the first sculptor from Turkey to have a work in the permanent collection of the prestigious museum.

Erdağ Aksel has tutored many up-and-coming contemporary Turkish artists as one of the founders of Sabancı University's Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design program.
