Simple, ordinary and small things from three artists at Sabancı University Kasa Gallery...
Apart from the ongoing exhibition series, Kasa Gallery presents a group show which opens on 21 September. Marius Dahl, Antonio Cosentino and Damien Louche-Pelissier are the participating artists whose productions are followed by Kasa Gallery in years.
Although they are invited for an exhibition at Kasa Gallery regardless of any common binding theme, as the works of these artists, who work with different techniques and materials, are brought together, it has become noticable that they take their subjects from unfavored, unseen or hidden details of habitual spaces. In ‘Free Pass’, Marius Dahl’s mechanical images prduced by wood carving technique, Antonio Cosentino’s paintings of objects which often go unnoticed with/because of their banality and Damien Louche-Pelissier’s collection of various insects which he produces with ‘natural’ materials such as tree crust and leaves will occupy the gallery spaces.
